I would like to say, a claim denial occurs because of not ensuring patients eligibility for the services billed by the provider. I can imagine that things like this happen all the time. I think that I might have been guilty of doing this at some point. It makes sense that it would be an annoyance to doctors because you never know if people are going to end up paying their bills or not.

What an idea that you have shared to us, its really superb. There are so many reasons why you should not waive copays or copayments. If you are contracted with the insurance company, you are bound to follow what is in your contract with them. A patient's copay is due at the time of service! You must collect your patient's copay!
